PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

A New Heart

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will take away your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” – Ezekiel 36:26 NLV   Lord, I have such anger within me for all the wrongs done me all day long. Even when I’m out in traffic and someone cuts me off, I’m really miffed. Or when my family comes to the dinner table and no one appreciates how hard I’ve worked to make this meal but complains about every little thing, I just want to scream! Give me that new heart. Empty this heart of stone, the one so easily offended. Fill it with Your love. Amen.   [from Power Prayers to Start Your Day by Donna Maltese]

A New Mind

Let God change your life. First of all, let Him give you a new mind. Then you will know what God wants you to do. And the things you do will be good and pleasing and perfect. – Romans 12:2 NLV   I’m so confused, Lord. I seem to have the wrong mindset today. Instead of looking to Your leading, I seem to be focused in on the worldly aspects of life. And I know that’s not where You want my thoughts to be. Give me the mind of Christ. Make my needs simple. Change my life, my thoughts, my desires. I want to live a life that is good, perfect, and pleasing to You. Amen.   [from Power Prayers to Start Your Day by Donna Maltese]
