Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

Love of Money

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience meekness. – 1 Timothy 6:10-11 KJV
Dear God, I come to You this morning with a heavy heart. I feel as if I have let my quest for financial security take my eyes off You. Help me to put aside my fear of never having enough and replace it with trust in You. Take away my seemingly insatiable appetite for more and more gain and replace it with the power of contentment. Free me from the snare of greed and lead me into greater faith in You.

Pour Out Your Spirit

“For I will pour out water to quench your thirst and to irrigate your parched fields. And I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your children.” – Isaiah 44:3 NLT
Lord, I am thirsty, parched with the demands of this world. I am in want in so many ways. Help me not to focus on what I don’t have, but to focus on You and the blessings that You have prepared for me and my children. Pour out Your Spirit upon me now. Fill me with Your presence. Give me hope for this day. I anticipate blessings waiting around every corner. Thank You, Lord for taking such good care of me. You, my Savior, are the greatest blessing of all! Amen.
