Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

My Words

Encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another. – 1 Thessalonians 5:11 AMP
OK, Lord, today not one negative thought is going to go through my head and come out of my mouth. This morning I will drench myself in Your Word and come out smiling. I want to spread to others the joy You plant in my heart. Give me the right words to say at the right moment to build up others. Give me words of praise, words of wisdom, and words of encouragement. Amen.

Two-Way Forgiveness

“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. “ – Mark 11:25 NIV
It’s a two-way street, Lord—we forgive others and You forgive us. I know I’ve read that scripture a hundred times, but I’ve never understood it more fully than today. Give me the strength of Your forgiveness this morning, Lord. Help me to love and not hate the person who has hurt me. Thank You for releasing the poison of unforgiveness that has been building up within me. Amen.
