PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

In the World

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. – John 17:15-16, 18 KJV

Lord, sometimes I feel like Captain Kirk. When faced with the evils of this world, I want to say, “Beam me up, God!” but I know that no matter what happens in this world, Your hand is guarding us. And armed with Your compassion, we have the power to intercede for the hungry, the oppressed, the imprisoned, the homeless, the wounded. You have given us the power to overcome the world. Amen.

Before the Throne

In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice. . . .I, by your great mercy. . .come into your house; in reverence. . .I bow down toward your holy temple. – Psalm 5:3, 7 NIV

Lord, I humble myself before you, bowing down at Your throne. You are so great, so awesome. Your presence fills this universe. I am filled with Your amazing love, touched by Your compassion. There is no one like You in my life, my Lord and My God. Thank You for hearing my voice. Amen.
