PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Finding Your Gift

Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. – Ephesians 5:17 NLT

Lord, I’m looking for direction. I’m not sure how You want me to serve You. So many times I feel so inadequate, that others can do things better than I ever could. But I know those feelings are not of You. Help me to understand, Lord, how You want me to serve, what You want me to do. Not worrying about pleasing others but pleasing You, I will do so all to Your glory. Amen.

Prayer for World Leaders

First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. – 1 Timothy 1:1-2 NASB

Dear God, today I lift up the world leaders—presidents, premiers, kings, queens, prime ministers, ambassadors to the United Nations, all rulers, princes, and governors. Give them wisdom, give them courage, give them minds of peace. There is so much death and destruction in this world and at times I feel disheartened. But I know where to turn—to You, Father, who makes all things right. Amen.
