PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

An Answer to My Cry

Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. . . .God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God! – Psalm 66:16-17, 19-20 NIV

Dear God, You have done so many things for me, saved me from so many dangers, toils, and snares. I cry out to You again this morning. Fill me with Your  Spirit. Touch me with Your presence. And as I go through this day, may I be so filled with Your praises that cannot help but tell others what You have done for me!

Watching and Waiting

But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. – Micah 7:7 NIV

I watch and wait expectantly, Lord, for You to answer the petitions I make to You today. I bring them to You mindful of the way You are always there, ready to listen, ready to advise, ready to answer. Give me the gift of patience as I wait for Your response. Help me not to run ahead of You but to wait and pray and hope. Amen.
