PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Don’t Give Up

They were just trying to intimidate us, imagining that they could discourage us and stop the work. So I continued the work with even greater determination. – Nehemiah 6:9 NLT

Lord, here I am trying to take on this work and others are trying to intimidate me, telling me there is no way I can meet the challenge You have set before me. But I have faith in You. I know that with You in my life, I can do whatever You call me to do. Help me not to let others dissuade me from my goal. Give me the faith that David sought from You, the kind that does not waver but goes boldly forward. Amen.

Prayer for Godly Words

The Sovereign LORD has given me his words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will. – Isaiah 50:4 NLT

Lord, here I am this morning, awaiting Your words of wisdom. I need to have a talk with my child today and I don’t know what to say or how to say it. Give me direction. Open my eyes, heart, and spirit to understanding Your will for me and my child. I want to know how to speak words to comfort, direct, and assist him/her. Help me, O Lord. Guide the words of my tongue. Amen.
