PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Bold and Diligent

“Be bold and diligent. And GOD be with you as you do your best.” – 2 Chronicles 19:11 The Message

I’m working as hard as I can to meet my challenge. I want to do my best, knowing that You are with me all the way. Help me to be brave. Help me not to panic. Neither fear nor anxiety is of You. I need to focus on You, to build up my faith and my confidence. Help me not to deviate from my course. I am here this morning, ready to listen to Your voice. Lead me, Lord, where You want me to go. Amen.

My Words

Don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. – Philippians 2:3 NLT

I don’t need fancy words to impress others. I only need words guided by the mind of Christ. Help me, Lord, to honor others with my speech. I want to lift people up, not bring them down. I want to bring joy to the hearts of others, not sorrow. Give me a better attitude, positive words, and encouraging remarks. Guard my mouth and, when necessary, put Your hand upon it to keep it shut. Amen.
