PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Encouraging Others

Let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another. – Hebrews 10:24-25 NASB

Lord, I will be meeting with others today. I want to be an encourager, stimulating others, drawing them closer to You. Plant a good word in my heart, one I can use to edify others. Point out a verse from my Bible reading today that someone else needs to hear. Give me the right moment, the right words. And if it’s a listening ear someone needs, give me the wisdom of silence. Lead me to do Your will this day. Amen.

On Eagles’ Wings

“I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.” – Exodus 19:4 NIV

God, I need You to lift me up, above all these problems, above my circumstances, above my helplessness. Carry me off to Your place in the heavenlies, where I can find my breath, where I can sit with You, where I can find the peace of Your presence. You alone can carry me through this. I feel myself drifting off, Your strong arms holding me close, Your breath touching my face. Thank You, Lord, for saving my soul. Amen.
