Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

Now is the time to forgive this man and help him back on his feet. If all you do is pour on the guilt, you could very well drown him in it. My counsel now is to pour on the love. – 2 Corinthians 2:7-8 The Message
I don’t know why, Lord, but I just keep bringing up old offenses and throwing them into the faces of those who have hurt me. I know that’s not how You want me to behave. If I keep on this course, there’s no telling how many people I will alienate from my life. And I’m not being a very good example of a Christian. Help me to forgive others and not remind them of past misdeeds. Help me to pour out Your love to all. Amen.

The Right God

“If you ever forget the Lord your God and go to other gods to worship and work for them, I tell you today that you will be destroyed for sure.” – Deuteronomy 8:19 NLV
Lord, I don’t want to live my life working for money, power, possessions, position, or status. I want to live for You, work for You, be with You. Keep Yourself in the forefront of my mind this morning and throughout this day. You are the One I worship and the One I serve– You and no one else. Live through me this day. Thank You, Lord for saving my soul for Your use! Amen.
