PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Community of Faith

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. – 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV

Thank you, Lord, for the wonderful people you have brought into my life. There have been many rich friendships with people who shared my joys and sorrows alike. You have also inspired leaders to teach me and guide me in faith. You have allowed me to have influence on others as well. Thank you, Lord, for this holy community of faith. I don’t know what I’d do without them. Amen.

God Is My Rock

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. – Psalm 18:2 NIV

Almighty God, you know the difficulties I’ve been facing lately, the deep sorrows and bitter disappointments I’ve gone through. It encourages me to know that you have been standing right with me through all of it. When I trust you, I feel my fear turning to faith. I feel your strength coursing through me when I need it most. When I begin to lose hope, you are there with a bright thought to keep my spirits up. When I feel like giving up, you empower me to keep going. You are my rock, my fortress, my champion, my savior. I thank you for all you have done for me. Amen.
