PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

God’s Voice

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. – Proverbs 3:5-6 NRSV

Father, I ask you to keep speaking truth to me. Sometimes I don’t want to hear it. I want to go my willful way, and I know you’ll just delay me. Then there are other times when your voice gets drowned out by the other sounds around me. It seems there’s always a TV blaring, a computer humming, a cell phone ringing, an alarm beeping or people complaining. That can make it hard to hear you. But now I’ll focus my spiritual ears on that “still, small voice” of yours. I’ll listen for your gentle whisper. Keep sending your message of truth in my direction and I’ll pay attention, because ultimately yours is the only voice that makes sense. Amen

God’s Provision

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds. – Philippians 4:6-7

Everything I have comes from you, dear heavenly Father. I am grateful for everything you have provided me. You have given me the ability to work, the ability to love, the ability to worship you, and these are all rich gifts. I praise you for your great kindness to me, now and in the years to come. Amen.
