PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

God’s Strength

I have learned to be content with whatever I have. I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. . . . I can do all things through him who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:11-13

Dear Lord, I thank you for the times of plenty that you have provided in the past. Now I turn to you in a time of need. Please strengthen me to deal with the current crisis. I’m not sure that I have the resources—physically or emotionally—to get through this, but I know you do. I rely on your power and your love to see me through.

Forgive Me

The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, . . . forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. – Exodus 34:6-7

Here I am again, Lord. I stumbled over the same old thing. I’m so tired of losing this battle. Aren’t you tired of forgiving me? Aren’t you ready to give up on me? How is it that you are willing again and again to forgive me and take me by the hand and try one more time? Thank you for not giving up on me, Lord!
