PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Family

Let love be genuine . . . Live in harmony with one another . . . Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. – Romans 12:9, 16-17 NRSV

Beloved Lord, I pray today for my family. As you know, families are complicated, and I’ve told you plenty about my daily problems with this one or that one. Expectations run high. Wounds run deep. There are dysfunctions that only you can unravel. I ask you to bring your wisdom and power into those situations. Let love reign in my home and in my heart. This is my deepest prayer. Amen.

Friendship

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. – Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NLT

Divine Father, I am alone right now, but I long for friendship. Please lead me into relationships that will be pleasing to you, that will be mutually beneficial, and that will cause me to grow in truth and love. Help me to listen to your voice as you guide me into the friendships you have for me. Thank you for the gift of true friends. Amen.
